Planned repair works on the transit gas pipelines from the Balkan direction are commencing

 

PAO Gazprom, OOO Gazprom Export and the operators of the transmission networks from the Balkan direction (including Bulgartransgaz EAD, too) are coordinating a schedule for repair works on the transit gas pipelines of the Balkan direction to be held related to amendment of the natural gas supply regimes. The countries transiting and consuming natural gas in Ukraine, Moldova, the Balkan region and the Republic of Turkey are to be affected. The repair works will last 96 hours and will be held from the period 08:00 on 29th August – 08:00 on 2nd September 2017 and will lead to a change in the available capacity on the following entry/exit points:

 

- Kulata/Sidirokastro – entry/exit;

- Kyustendil/Zhidilovo – exit;

- Strandzha/Malkochlar – exit;

- Negru voda 2, 3/ Kardam– entry;

- Negru voda 1/ Kardam – entry.


In this regard Bulgargaz EAD has notified the union organizations of customers and district heating companies of the repair works to be held. With a view to providing the natural gas quantities required for household and domestic consumers in Bulgaria, Bulgargaz EAD has made a request to Bulgartransgaz EAD for extraction of natural gas from the storage facility in Chiren at the amount of 3.4 million cubic meters per day by which to guarantee supply of the natural gas quantities required.
