The registration process for Holding Maritsa Iztok EAD has been completed
On October 29, 2026, the newly established company Holding Maritsa Iztok EAD was entered in the Commercial Register and the Register of Non-profit Legal Entities at the Registry Agency. Upon this registration, the Holding company acquired legal personality and commenced its operations.
The establishment of the Holding company is the result of teamwork and the high level of professionalism demonstrated by experts from the Ministry of Energy, Bulgarian Energy Holding EAD, Mini Maritsa-Iztok EAD, and TPP Maritsa East 2 EAD. All corporate and registration procedures necessary for the creation of the new structure were prepared and implemented within an exceptionally short timeframe and in strict compliance with legal requirements.
The new Holding company brings together Mini Maritsa-Iztok EAD and TPP Maritsa East 2 EAD and aims to ensure unified management of the companies within the Maritsa Complex, their sustainable development, and the successful implementation of projects to transform the region. This restructuring marks concrete progress in fulfilling strategic commitments of Bulgaria under the Recovery and Resilience Plan and contributes to meeting the conditions for receiving the planned European funding.
